Chicken Rice stew 雞煲飯

When you cook rice with lots of other ingredients in the same pot, it allows the rice to absorb all sorts of great flavors. My aunt taught me this recipe.
Ingredients: (2-3 serving)
1 cup of uncooked rice, 3/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of chop chopped carrots, 1/4 cup chopped dry mushrooms, 1/4 cup chopped celery, chicken (white meat), 1 tsp chopped garlic, some ginger slices, 2 tsp oil, 2tsp soy sauce, some salt, 1tsp sesame oil.
Wash uncooked rice, and let it sit in the water for about 15 mins.
1. Heat up oil in a pan; stir in garlic and ginger until fragrant.
2. Brown the chicken; add soy sauce and sesame oil.
3. Add all vegetables and salt as desired.
4. Stir in rice and water. Cover with lid and turn the heat down to low. Cook for about 20 mins or until the rice is cooked.
Eat.
雞煲飯
食材:(約2-3人份)
米1杯. 水3/4杯. 香菇切絲1/4杯.胡蘿蔔絲1/4杯.芹菜絲1/4杯.雞肉一些(雞翅,其它雞腿,雞胸都可以).洋蔥(或蔥段)一些.薑片.碎蒜少許.2小匙醬油.1小匙麻油.鹽
生米洗淨.泡一會兒
1.熱油鍋.薑及蒜爆香
2.快炒一下雞肉.然後加醬油.麻油
3.將蔬菜炒入.加鹽如有需要
4.倒入生米及水.轉小火.燜煮約20-30分.或直到米熟為止
趁熱吃才好吃!
