The Ipswich River is a great river for a nice, laid back canoe trip. It is located in Ipswich, MA – just an hour outside of Boston. It is a beautiful river for wildlife and enjoying a relaxing time.
We rented a canoe from Foote Brothers Canoe Rental. The price is very reasonable , especially for the Willowdale Run.

這水獺好和善. 跑到我們船邊來打招呼
This is a friendly little beaver; he swam right up to our canoe to say hi.

水獺是很和善．但當他築了水壩．我們又要划船過去就要命摟．．．我差點沒因那水壩送了半條命ㄋ．
That beaver was cute and nice and all, but when you are rowing a canoe upstream and trying to get past his dam, it is not fun. My husband and I had to work really hard to get past this one. Eventually, we had to get out of the canoe and just carry it over.

到處都是小烏龜.
There are turtles everywhere. I saw 22 turtles in one day, my husband saw 20 of them. Most of them were just chillin’ on logs.

我們倆都好怕鵝歐…聽說會咬人耶
Both of us are so afraid of geese. My husband got attacked by one once. On this trip, one hissed at us, but they generally left us alone.

好像是白鷺鷥. 不識貨…真糟糕.
I think this is a crane. I am not sure.

這是好溫馨的畫面．一個鴉媽媽．身邊擠了最少９隻鴉寶寶．我們划過沒多久．鴉媽媽就把小鴉推進水裡學游泳了．
This is a such sweet photo. There are at least 9 baby ducks surrounding their mother. The duck mother is trying to get the babies ready for a swiming lesson.

We also saw many other animals on this trip, but we weren’t quick enough with the camera. And a word of advice – don’t take a good camera on a canoe. Buy a disposable one.
