Brown Sugar and Honey Carrots 紅糖紅蘿蔔 ( $3 for Four)

These were a quick side dish that turned out very well indeed.

  • A nice bunch of carrots ($1/lb)
  • 1 tbsp butter ($ 0.3)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar ($0.4)
  • 2 tsp honey ( $0.8)
  • Sesame seeds to garnish ( prox. $ 0.5)

Total $3 for Four

  1. Boil carrots until somewhat tender. Do not overcook.
  2. In another skillet, melt butter and add brown sugar and honey until blended.
  3. Add carrots and mix thoroughly.
  4. Plate and garnish.
