Easy Apple Pie

This is an easy dessert for lazy day.

  • 1 bag of store bought pie dough
  • 1 can of apple pie filling
  • 2 apples (peeled and chopped into bit size)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  1. Defrost the pie dough.
  2. Spread butter around the pie pan.
  3. Lay the pie dough in the pie pan.
  4. In a sauce pan, melt the butter and add apple.
  5. Cook until the apple until slightly softened. Add cinnamon, vanilla and apple pie filling.
  6. Pour the apple mixture in the pie pan.
  7. Fold the extra pie dough inside to cover the filling.
  8. Brush melted butter on top of the pie dough.
  9. Bake the apple pie according to the pie dough directions.

The fresh apple gives that fresh sour and crunchy flavor of apples to an ordinary apple pie filling.

Good Wife Cake


Filing

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  1. cook all ingredients above in a sauce pan.
  2. refrigerate until hardened.

Dough I

  • 1 cup of four
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of water
  1. mix all ingredients together.
  2. separate the dough into 8 pieces.

Dough II

  • 1/3 cup of butter
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  1. mix together by hand.
  2. separate the dough into 8 pieces.

    • 1 egg (beat)
    • some sesame seeds
  1. Use a rolling pan to flatten the first dough and wrap second dough in it.
  2. Then flatten the mixed dough and put filling in the middle.
  3. fold dough towards the middle.
  4. brush egg on top.
  5. sprinkle sesame seeds as desired.
  6. bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.

BabyBel 起司真的滿好吃的.
非常濃郁的起司味.
配合蘇打餅乾或紅酒非常好吃.

不過呢. 如果在一般的超市買.
6顆要$5.99 美元.
我是在大賣場買的.
22顆. $12.99元.
因為剛好有折價卷.
所以再折$2.50元

我覺得不是最好吃. 但是很直的試試.
必竟包著蠟的起司. 不多內. :yeh1:

老土

從婚後. 我跟雷老公就一直過著非常節省的日子.
從吃省到穿. 從穿省到行. 從行省到住.
樣樣都省. 有時到有一點摳.

最近. 我們倆答成協議. 我們改成省所有的. 但不省吃.
我們依然不外食. 但不再斤斤計較自己在家裡吃飯. 煮飯的材料了.
第一件事. 我就想要嚐嚐這可愛. 小巧的BabyBel 起司.

從我來美國. 就一直想試試. 因為一直覺得它好可愛歐.
而且又看起來非常好吃.
但是10年來都買不下手. 因為真的不便宜.

就在上禮拜. 剛好我們收到一張這起司的折價卷. 我們借機就買了.
特地帶著這起司. 跟我們一起去滑船.
想說到時我們可以很優雅的坐在河中. 乘著小船.
吃著我們高級的起司. 多優雅阿.

到了船上. 雷先生遞了一塊美麗的babybell起司給我.
我打開包裝紙. 看了看我這盼了以久. 得來不易的起司.
下口咬了一口. :blink:

ㄜ… 嚼了嚼.
雷先生問: 好吃嗎?
我回: 怪怪的.
雷先生說: 是嗎?? 怎麼… :hitmyself:

才發現. 高級的起司. 外面有一層蠟.
要先剝掉才能吃.
我老土. 沒吃過也不知道有這回事.
就這樣. 吃了一嘴蠟. :cry:
