Soysauce stewed Pork Hock

- 2-3 cups of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 5 cups of cooking wine
- 1 star anise
- 1-2 bay leaves
- 6-8 pork hocks
- 3-5 cloves of garlic
- 2-3 slice of ginger
- 1 tbsp of oil
- Place pork hocks in boiling water, boil for 15 minutes or until the water becomes cloudy.
- Rinse pork hocks in cold water until cooled.
- In the pot, fry ginger and garlic until fragrant.
- Add pork hocks, soy sauce, sugar, star anise, bay leafs. Cover with lid, cook for 15 minutes.
- When all pork hock have darkened, add cooking wine.
- Turn to low heat, cover with lid, cook for additional 1 hour.
