I made this peanut sugar bun a while ago. This is a great breakfast item.

Dough

2 cups of whole wheat flour

2 cups of all purpose flour

2 tsp of yeast

1 tbsp of sugar

Hot water

Filling

1 cup of peanut powder

1 cup of black and white sesame power

1 cup of sugar powder

Raisins

Mix dough – dry ingredients together, and slowly add hot water into the flour.

First use mixer to blend the flour together. When the dough is not as hot anymore, mix the dough by hand until it does not stick on the hand. Make sure the dough does not have lumps and the surface is smooth.

Cover with cloth and place the dough in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.

Cut the dough into golf ball sizes. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough.

Mix all filing ingredients and place the filling in the middle of the dough.

Fold the edge of the dough to the center.

Place couple of raisins on top of the bun as desired.

Allow the buns to rise for additional 1 hour.

Steam the buns for 30 minutes.

1 bag of store bought pie dough

1 can of apple pie filling

2 apples (peeled and chopped into bit size)

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Defrost the pie dough.

Spread butter around the pie pan.

Lay the pie dough in the pie pan.

In a sauce pan, melt the butter and add apple.

Cook until the apple until slightly softened. Add cinnamon, vanilla and apple pie filling.

Pour the apple mixture in the pie pan.

Fold the extra pie dough inside to cover the filling.

Brush melted butter on top of the pie dough.

Bake the apple pie according to the pie dough directions.

The fresh apple gives that fresh sour and crunchy flavor of apples to an ordinary apple pie filling.
