Mýrdalsjökull Glacier

I really really enjoy climbing the glacier in Iceland.
If you ever go, this really is one of the funnest activity, but please please make sure to go with a guide, otherwise could be very dangerous.

The view is absolutely beautiful. If you are an experienced hiker, you can choose a longer hike or a whole day hike.
We only went for a 3 to 4 hour slow hike.

Iceland Lobster soup

Iceland famous lobster soup. Their lobster is much smaller than our New England lobster.
It is more like our crawfish. It is a great meal if you visit Iceland during colder time.
However, it is that type of soup that really really hard to eat again and again.

Try it once, like it than stop right there is my suggestion with this local soup.

Mountains in Iceland

This is  Eyjafjallajökull volcano. The one which erupted at 2010.
Hard to imagine how violent during that time, since it is so claim and beautiful right now.

These are the mountain next to the volcano. You see the far far back there is a glacier. A HUGE one actually.

Alcohol from Iceland

Every time we travel, we like to try some local drinks.
Gull is Icelandic beer, made from fresh Icelandic water.
Nothing special actually, very light tasting.

Falls in Iceland

I love the Falls in Iceland. There are many of them if you look carefully while you drive down their highway.

Some of them are extremely huge.

Perlan food and Views

Perlan is a land mark of Reykjavik. It is free to go up there. You can have some coffee and light lunch there for very reasonable price.

Iceland Puffin and Lamb

Iceland’s delicacy, Puffin. I feel guilty to say but puffin is extremely delicious.
However, I won’t recommend to look at Puffin pictures than eat them, because they are super cute.

Below is Icelandic local meat, Lamb sandwich. It is light. Very very tasty.

Views from Hallgrimskirkja

If you willing to pay roughly 300 isk go to the top of the Hallgrimskirkja. This is the view you will get.
The view is absolutely breath taking.

The city is beautiful. The mountain and the lake behind the city make the city even more amazing.

Alcohol from Czech

I tried Absinth while I was in Prague.
The drink is full with star anise taste. If you don’t like that taste, you probably won’t like the drink much.

Hallgrímskirkja Church

We arrived Reykjavik very early in the morning. We didn’t plan anything for the arrival of the day.
Therefore, our main goal was to walk around Reykjavik downtown.

This is an important land mark for the city.
It is free to enter the church.

Cost around 300 isk to go to the top of the church.
