Bacon Shrimp 培根包蝦

Any food with bacon involved is sure to be a hit.

  • Bacon (One short slice for every Shrimp)
  • Shrimp (peeled)
  • salt, pepper
  1. cut bacon into small strips (enough to wrap around a single shrimp)
  2. wrap shrimp
  3. pan fry one side of shrimp until brown.
  4. sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Juicy, delicious bacon-wrapped shrimp is served.

什麼東西. 只要有培根的加入. 就好好吃歐

  • 培根 (夠包蝦的)
  • 蝦 (剝皮)
  •  鹽. 糊椒
  1. 將培根切斷
  2. 然後包在蝦子上
  3. 培根接口朝下. 在鍋中煎熟
  4. 灑一點鹽.糊椒. 就好了

超香…!!!

My Grandma’s secret meat sauce 我外婆的秘密肉燥

This is my grandma’s famous signature meat sauce. It is wonderful.

  • 2 cups of ground pork
  • 2 cups of fish meat (swordfish)
  • 2 cups of squid
  • 1 cup of shallots (chopped)
  • 1 cup of dried shrimp
  • 1 cup of Chinese dried mushroom
  • 1/4 cup of oil
  • 1/4 cup of dried red onion
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • some sugar, sesame oil
  1. fry shallots in oil. Add dried shrimp. Cook until fragrant.
  2. add pork, fish and soy sauce.
  3. add dried red onion, squid and mushroom.
  4. add some sugar and sesame oil when all ingredients are cooked. (this could be salty, add water accordingly.)

我外婆好會做肉燥歐. 這種她做的肉燥好好吃. 拿來包粽子也很好.

  • 2 杯豬絞肉
  • 2 杯較硬的魚肉(切絲)
  • 2 杯墨魚 (切絲)
  • 1 杯紅蔥頭 (切丁)
  • 1 杯蝦米
  • 1 杯香菇(切絲)
  • 1/4 杯油
  • 1/4 杯油蔥酥
  • 1 杯醬油
  • 一些糖和麻油
  1. 油鍋將紅蔥頭. 蝦米一一爆香.
  2. 加豬絞肉. 魚肉和醬油. 都煮熟後
  3. 加所有剩下的食材
  4. 最後加一些糖和麻油.

如果太鹹可以多加點糖或水. 不過最重要的就是一開始的紅蔥頭要爆到夠香. 才加別的料.

Cream Sauce Spaghetti-Os 圈圈義大利麵

Five star restaurant spaghetti o’s. It is way more delicious and a lot healthier for you than the can.

  • 1 cup of cooked “o” pasta (I’ve never seen them before – found at Trader Joe’s)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped carrots
  • 1/4 cup of chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup of chopped onion
  • some shrimp
  • 1/4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp flour
  1. start a pan with olive oil and butter. Fry the onion.
  2. cook shrimp briefly and set it aside.
  3. add celery, carrots and chicken stock. Allow to cook until all ingredients soften.
  4. add milk and flour. Stir constantly.
  5. add shrimp back in the pan and stir. Add pasta.
  6. mix everything together.

Enjoy the high class, delicious spaghettiOs.

這多辦是給小朋友吃的. 但是那種罐頭的很不健康.
這樣做就好多了. 又好吃多了.

  • 1 杯煮熟的圈圈義大利麵
  • 1/4 杯紅蘿蔔丁.
  • 1/4杯芹菜丁
  • 1/4杯洋蔥丁
  • 一些蝦
  • 1/4匙奶油
  • 1匙橄欖油
  • 1/4杯牛奶
  • 1杯雞湯
  • 2匙麵粉
  1. 先將洋蔥在橄欖油.奶油中爆香
  2. 將蝦微煎一下
  3. 加入紅蘿蔔丁. 芹菜丁和雞湯. 煮到所有菜都變軟.
  4. 加牛奶及麵粉. 同時不段攪拌.
  5. 把蝦加入醬料中. 再加圈圈義大利麵.
  6. 拌勻. 如需加鹽和糊椒.

Seafood in Taiwan 台灣海產新鮮吃

Above are some live, jumpy, hyperactive shrimp that are sold in the traditional market right by my home.
Below are the very same shrimps 15 minutes later. Perhaps a little disturbing, but they were extremely sweet and fresh tasting.
Even a non seafood lover will love to eat these.

Just below are some crabs we bought at the same time. They were quite active as well when we bought them.

Vietnamese Shrimp Salad 越南鮮蝦沙拉

Well, I’m not Vietnamese, but I’ve been inspired by the restaurants here in the states. This is quick and satisfying; you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it before.

  • 3 large shrimps – sauteed and peeled
  • 1 serving of Vietnamese vermicelli – boiled, drained, and rinsed in cold water.
  • A handful of chopped lettuce
  • 1/3 cup of chopped carrots
  • A few sprigs of mint and basil if you have it.

Dressing

  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sriracha sauce

Simply toss salad ingredients, mix dressing and serve.

我跟雷老公. 超愛越南菜的. 不過外面吃貴. 吃不消. 這是我們自己實驗的. 還不錯.

  • 3隻蝦-剝皮. 炒熟
  • 1 人份冬粉-煮熟. 瀝乾
  • 一把生菜
  • 1/3 杯紅蘿蔔絲
  • 一些薄荷葉及九層塔

醬料

  • 1 匙花生醬
  • 2 匙日式醬油
  • 1/2匙麻油
  • 1/2 匙泰式辣椒醬

把所有東西拌勻. 就可以吃了

Vietnamese Lettuce Wrap 越南生菜捲

This is such a elegant dish. It is very summery and fresh.

Topping Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of thinly sliced celery
  • 1 cup of thinly sliced carrots
  • 1 cup of thinly sliced mushroom
  • 1 cup of shrimp (cooked and peeled)
  • 1 cup of ground meat
  • 2tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 1tsp sesame oil
  • 5tbsp water
  • 1tsp hot chili sauce

1. Mix and cook all ingredients together.

Dipping sauce:

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter,
  • 1 tbsp Japanese soy sauce,
  • 1 tsp ketchup, hot chili paste,
  • 1/2 tsp fish sauce (optional) – Or you could just buy peanut satay sauce and mix it with a little soy sauce (if you are lazy like I am sometimes).

2. Mix dipping sauce ingredients together.

Additional ingredients:

  • Lettuce (for wrapping)
  • cooked rice

3. Take a piece of lettuce, add some rice, topping and dipping sauce. Eat it as elegantly as you can.

越南生菜捲.
夏天的好食物

菜料食材:

  • 芹菜絲. 蘿蔔絲.
  • 木耳絲. 絞肉.
  • 蝦仁個一杯.
  • 2大匙醬油.
  • 1匙糖.
  • 1匙麻油.
  • 一些辣椒醬及水

1. 將所有食材煮熟

沾醬:

  • 花生醬1大匙.
  • 1大匙醬油.
  • 少許蕃茄醬.
  • 及辣椒醬.
  • 如喜歡可加一些魚露(泰國菜裡常加)

2. 沾醬醬料拌勻

額外食材:
一些大片的生菜及米飯

3. 用生菜包上飯及菜料. 澆上一些沾醬

Tuna Salad Sandwich 鮪魚沙拉三明治 ($2.75 for One)

I am not a sandwich lover but this one is the exception. It’s super easy, super excellent, and not too unhealthy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread ($0.3)
  • 1 egg ($0.25)
  • 1 /3 can of tuna (drained) ($o.4)
  • 1/3 cup of chopped celery ($0.3)
  • 2 tbsp of chopped red onion ($0.2)
  • 3 tbsp of mayonnaise ($0.3)
  •  1/3tsp sugar ($0.2)
  • some black pepper and salt ($0.1)
  • 1 slice of cheese ($o.5)
  • a dash of paprika ($0.2)

Total $2.75 for One
1 . Mix onion, mayonnaise, sugar, black pepper, salt, celery, paprika and tuna together.
2. Put cheese on top of bread warm in oven for 10 minutes.
3. Fry the egg and place on bread along with tuna salad.

Bite, chew, swallow, sigh a sigh of pleasure.

我不是很愛吃三明治的人. 不過這種我到是很喜歡

食材: 2片土司麵包. 1顆蛋. 1鮪魚罐頭(水倒掉). 1/3杯切丁芹菜. 2大匙紅洋蔥. 1/3杯美乃滋. 1/3小匙糖. 一些鹽及糊椒. 1片起司

1. 將 鮪魚. 芹菜. 紅洋蔥. 美乃滋. 糖. 一些鹽及糊椒混合好.拌勻
2.起司放在土司上.放進烤箱考一下
3.煎蛋. 然後放在土司上. 再包上 鮪魚沙拉.就好了

享用香脆麵包加上融化的起司和美味的鮪魚沙拉

Maple bacon pasta 楓糖香意大利麵

By using Maple bacon, you can add some very unique flavor to your pasta.

Ingredients:

  • 6 strips of maple bacon
  • 1/4 chopped onion
  •  2 cups of green beans
  • 1 fish fillet
  • 1 serving of cooked angel hair pasta
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup of chicken stock

1. Cut the bacon into small pieces and brown them in a pan.
2. Add onion. When onion is cooked, add fish fillet and sprinkle some salt.
3. When the fish is cooked completely, remove the fish and add chicken stock to the pan.
4. When the stock is boiling, add green beans. Allow the green beans to cook until tender.
5. Mix pasta into the pan and serve.

楓糖香意大利麵

運用楓糖香培根做意大利麵, 可以帶出不同獨特風味ㄜ

食材-6片楓糖香培根, 1/4杯洋蔥丁, 2杯四季豆, 1片魚肉,1份煮熟細意大利麵, 鹽, 1/2杯雞湯

1. 培根切段. 在鍋中炒到黃
2. 加洋蔥, 快炒. 熟後將魚兩面灑鹽,在鍋中煎熟
3. 魚熟後盛出.
4. 到入雞湯及四季豆於鍋中
5. 四季豆軟就可以將麵拌在湯汁中. 如需可加鹽

Summer Roll 越南春捲

Summer Rolls are a very popular and delicious Vietnamese dish. A great light food for the summer time or anytime really.

Ingredients:
Summer roll: Extra thin spring roll wrappers (rice paper – Usually available at Asian grocery stores), some mint and cilantro, bean sprouts, clear noodles (Green bean noodles), Shrimp (can be replaced with Tofu)

Dipping sauce: 1 tbsp peanut butter, 1 tbsp Japanese soy sauce, ketchup, hot chili paste, 1/2 tsp fish sauce (optional) – Or you can just buy peanut satay sauce and mix it with a little soy sauce.

1. Cook clear noodle, bean sprouts and Shrimps in hot water and rinse under cold water until chilled.
2. Wash all other spring roll ingredients and plate them as in Pic.2
3. Take one sheet of spring roll wrapper, and place it in warm water. When it slightly softened, put all summer roll ingredients in the middle of the wrapper as in pic.3
4. Fold like a burrito
5. Mix all dipping sauce ingredients and dip the summer away.

越南春捲超好吃.夏季最加食品

食材:
春捲:一些越南超薄米春捲皮. 一些豆芽菜.香菜. 薄荷葉. 蝦或豆腐.冬粉

沾醬: 花生醬1大匙. 1大匙醬油. 少許蕃茄醬. 及辣椒醬. 如喜歡可加一些魚汁(泰國菜李常加)

1. 水加鹽先將冬粉.豆芽菜 及蝦煮熟. 然後沖涼水.至不熱為止
2. 把其他春捲食材洗乾淨. 像照片2一樣放在盤中
3. 將一片春捲皮放進溫水中.稍軟後. 放春捲食材在皮中央.如照片3
4. 上下向中間摺. 左右滾包起來
5. 沾醬醬料拌勻.及可沾著吃了

3 Spice Shrimp 三味蝦


A friend of mine from Hong Kong taught me how to prepare this dish. This is a wonderful recipe and works quite will with frozen shrimp. Usually, frozen shrimp have a strong fishy smell, but this recipe makes frozen shrimp taste like it is just out of the sea.

Ingredients: Shrimp, 2 cloves of garlic, chopped scallions, 3-4 ginger slices, 1tbsp oil, 2 tbsp cooking wine, 1tsp sugar, 1tbsp soy sauce

1. Over high heat, fry garlic, scallion and ginger in a little oil.
2. Add shrimp and cook until pink.
3. Add soy sauce, cooking wine and sugar.Add water or salt to achive prefered saltiness.

Enjoy!. Some white pepper can be added if desired.

我一個香港的朋友教我這到菜的. 很好吃.由其如果買不到剛補到的蝦.這到菜可以將冷凍蝦的蝦味蓋起來. 所以無論是鮮蝦或冷凍蝦.這到菜都可以讓蝦變的很美味.

食材: 蝦(一些). 2塊大蒜. 3-4片薑. 4-5 段蔥. 1大匙油. 1大匙醬油. 1小匙糖. 2大匙米酒

1. 一大火油鍋中. 蒜. 薑.蔥爆香
2. 加入蝦.快炒至變粉紅色
3. 加醬油. 糖.米酒.拌一下.起鍋 (可以嘗一下湯汁.太鹹就在起鍋前加一點水)

如喜歡可灑一點白糊椒粉.
